V.A.L.U.E. - G.A.C. Youth Ministry Mission Statement:

“G.A.C. youth ministry exists to encourage students by EXAMPLE, to worship God wholeheartedly in a VARIETY of ways, that motivates ACTION through LOVE to create UNITY within the body of Christ.”

Variety = (worship)
Action = (evangelism)
Love = (ministry)
Unity = (fellowship)
Example = (discipleship)

The main emphasis that I stress is your VALUE! The value that you have through being created in the likeness of God (Genesis 1:26-27) and the purpose that God has for your life (Jeremiah 29:11-“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not to harm you plans to give you a hope and a future”). When you realize and understand your value and importance to God your attitude and motivation for life will change without a doubt! You are made for a relationship-first and foremost with God and also with others, that’s why Jesus states that the greatest commandment is: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, body and strength. And love your neighbor as yourself.”

So as we focus on your relationship with others, this is where the mission statement comes in. The five areas of youth ministry are: worship, evangelism, ministry, fellowship and discipleship. These are the key areas that will strengthen your walk with God and relationship with others.
Our Mission statement is based on Colossians 3:12-17:

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
